Sattam Oru Iruttarai English The Law is a Dark Room is a Tamil film directed by S. A. Chandrasekhar. The film casts Vijayakanth. After this film, Vijayakanth became one of the leading actors of Tamil cinema. The songs and score was composed by Shankar Ganesh.

All the remakes except Andha Kanoon, Maattuvin Chattangale amp Sattam Oru Iruttarai 2012 film were directed by S. A. Chandrasekhar.The films success established Vijayakanth as a star in Tamil cinema. The success also inspired similar themes about law system which were mostly directed by Chandrasekhar and his disciple Shankar. ........
